Aims:

The aim of S.N.A.P is to assist your child to integrate into your most suitable local community playgroup with the amount of support s/he requires whilst enabling the multi disciplinary team of professionals to assess your child’s needs in the play setting. A structured play session is offered, where therapy is applied to enhance the child’s development.

Health  professionals visit regularly to advise the Play Specialist Support Staff and to devise Individual play plans to make the most of your child’s skills and encourage their development. English, Welsh as well as other forms of communication are used within sessions. All activities are adapted to suit the child’s individual needs and stage of development. We use developmental journal, P scales, Foundation Phase Profile along with the new curriculum for Wales framework within setting to monitor children’s progress. Routines and weekly activities displayed on walls and adaptations will be made to facilitate the New Curriculum for Wales.
